The following is a summary of some of the calls reported to Cranbrook RCMP for the period between December 16, 2019, to January 5, 2020. Please note this report is for a three-week period
Calls for Service: 489
Nine impaired driving: including six 90-day Immediate Roadside prohibitions (IRP); two 24-hour prohibitions and one three-day IRP.
26 collisions total: With 11 occurring inside the city and 15 outside the city.
32 driving complaints: Including 16 in the city and 16 outside the city.
12 assaults.
29 thefts: including: three thefts of vehicles; four thefts from motor vehicles; and eight shoplifting.
10 break and enters.
20 mischief to property.
Two drug seizures.
44 false alarms and false 911 calls.
