Cranbrook RCMP Report
The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week (from 6 a.m.) Nov. 6 to 6 a.m., Nov. 13.
Police handled 141 calls for service throughout this week.
Among the calls police handled…
One impaired driver – alcohol
10 collisions – three in town / seven out of town. All mostly due to weather conditions and in some instances of persons not driving to the conditions (either property damage and/or minor injuries).
Eight Mental Health Act calls – none apprehended and one assistance to East Kootenay Regional Hospital.
Two assault complaints: None Domestic in Nature / one between customer and a local restaurant employee/ one where assailant and victim known to each other, alcohol fuelled.
11 thefts reported including: four thefts from vehicles… ID and cash stolen in one incident, binoculars stolen in another, vehicles were unlocked. Two others were reported as attempts.
One break and enter to other: a shed had been gone through and compressor missing.
Three reports of property damage: two complaints of damage to vehicles and one to a residence.
Three drug seizures: methamphetamine/ fentanyl and three were charged for drug trafficking in another incident.
21 false alarms /false 911 complaints.
