Cranbrook RCMP Report

The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week (from 6 a.m.) Nov. 13 to 6 a.m., Nov. 20.

Police handled 147 calls for service throughout this week.

Among the calls police handled…

Seven collisions: two in town and five 5 out of town; mostly property damage and/or minor injury.

Two hit and runs, with a driver identified and charged in one incident and the other matter is still under investigation.

10 Mental Health Act calls, with one apprehended and four calls for assistance to East Kootenay Regional Hospital.

Two assault complaints: one assault occurred at a party/ one assault by family member on another.

Seven thefts reported including: Two for shoplifting; one theft of an auto reported but later found to be false; three thefts from vehicles, including a generator taken from the back of a flat deck at a local hotel and two reports of persons trying doors to vehicles at local hotels.

Another theft was reported but later found to be a civil dispute.

Three reports of property damage: house being egged/ bb pellet shot through a window/ door kicked and damaged as a result of a domestic argument.
