Cranbrook RCMP Report
The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week (from 6 a.m.) Nov. 20 to 6 a.m., Nov. 27.
Police handled 133 calls for service throughout this week.
Among the calls police handled…
One impaired driver: alcohol.
Four collisions – One in town / three out of town … mostly property damage and/or minor injury.
One hit and run – parking lot hit and run.
Three Mental Health Act calls.
Six assault complaints: two domestic in nature; one assaulting a Peace Officer; two unfounded complaints and one complaint at a local establishment where a patron was sucker punched by a coward.
Eight thefts reported including: two for shoplifting; one theft of auto reported that is still under investigation; one theft from vehicles, with cigarettes and gift cards that had almost zero balance on them stolen; theft of liquor/ theft of food from freezer in a carport/ theft from a business/ theft between roommates.
One reports of property damage: several vehicles damaged overnight of November 24/25. Suspects possibly identified and matter is still under investigation.
Two drug seizures: Marijuana and ecstasy.
