Cranbrook street sweeping shifting zones Friday
The street sweeping crew is working hard on the spring 2024 cleanup around the City of Cranbrook.
Beginning on Friday, April 12, operations will move to Zone 1 East which is from Highway 3 and 14th Avenue South to Victoria Avenue, between Theatre Road to 10th Street South for the next few weeks.
Crews will also be cleaning and sweeping the boulevards on Victoria Avenue starting at Kootenay Street and working towards 2nd Street North.
To help us do the best cleanup job possible, please make every effort to park off street on all these priority routes for the next few weeks.
As you know, Public Works puts a lot of effort each spring to remove much of the debris on city roads left behind from its winter maintenance efforts, through the annual street sweeping operations.
As the street sweeping program rolls out this year, we will provide up-to-date information about which areas of the city our team is currently working in and encourage residents in those areas to park off street wherever possible to ensure the best clean up possible.
Street sweeping operations will continue at regular intervals through the spring and summer months ahead of major events and help with removal of debris through the fall months, too.
