Dance Under My Umbrella and help a great cause

On Saturday, June 8 at the Days Inn, Cranbrook will be hosting a Gala Dinner and Dance to raise funds for Paul Joseph Blais’ Free Breakfast Cranbrook.

The Dance Under My Umbrella fundraiser will feature entertainment by Cranbrook’s premiere Reggae, Ska, Rock, Funk Bank The Mehditations and DJ Tayron.

Paul Joseph Blais’ (AKA That Pizza Guy) is the driving force behind Free Breakfast/Shelter 365 Cranbrook. Paul has been providing free breakfasts plus other meals with the generous support of sponsors and a dedicated team of volunteers.

Sponsors pay $ 10 per week via etransfer to [email protected]. There are also a number of local businesses participating in the Pay it Forward Program. A simple concept, anyone can go to a participating business and buy a meal for themselves and pay for a second  meal for those in need. The concept originated in Napoli, Italia at coffee shops where people paid for pending coffees.

“We are also accepting donations for a silent auction; your business name will be added to the list of donors which will be predominantly displayed by the tables with the auction items. We will arrange for pickup of silent auction items. You also have the option of dropping off the items at Days Inn, Cranbrook,” said Louie Cupello of Lazy Crow Promotions, who is donating time and  services to help organize the event along with Jennifer Todd-Bouchard, manager of Days Inn Cranbrook.

Admission to the fundraiser is $ 40 per person.

If you wish to sponsor or donate to the event or attend: RSVP Louie Cupello email [email protected]  or Cell (250) 417-9690.
