Drug alert issued for Cranbrook area
Interior Health has issued a drug alert for the Cranbrook area, warning of increased drug poisoning activity
The drug looks like a white powder or red/pink rock (pictured above) being sold as Down, Heroin/Fentanyl which contains Methamphetamine, an unknown Fentanyl Analogue, Benzodiazepines and Xylazine.
Risks include drug toxicity, respiratory depression and loss of consciousness.
The alert is in effect until February 18.
