Festive season alive at Fort Steele

Fort Steele Heritage Town is in full festive swing this upcoming Sunday, Dec. 18.

Tuba Fest returns to Fort Steele Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. at Wildhorse Theatre (pictured above).

Celebrate Christmas with some very talented tuba players. They will be on stage playing some of your favorite traditional Christmas carols. And join them on stage after the show for some hands-on tuba experience.

Donations to the Cranbrook Food Bank will be accepted.

The Sunday Service in Fort Steele’s Presbyterian Church begins at 1 p.m, with Reverend Ron Foubister officiating.

Also, hop aboard a sleigh every Sunday as Fort Steele’s Clydesdales take you for a tour around the East Kootenay’s largest heritage attraction.

And for the third Sunday in a row, you can have your little ones pose for a photo with Father Christmas at the Lambi House between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Dec. 18.

Things keep rolling through the holidays to New Year’s Day, Sunday, January 1, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. with the Annual Sleigh Ride Day.

Weather permitting, Fort Steele’s sleigh will be ready to take you on an old-fashioned tour through our site. Bundle up!

Or you can strap on your skates and take a spin on our outdoor rink. Savour some freshly made goodies at the Bakery and warm up in our International Hotel for a hearty lunch.

Lambi House’s friendly staff are also excited to see you. They’ll have hot apple cider and fresh baked cookies to warm you up (by donation).
