Fire crews on top of bush fire near Moir Park
Cranbrook Fire and Emergency Services’ D Shift has help from BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) on a bush fire west of Moir Park this afternoon (July 20).
Firefighters teamed with a helicopter from BCWS to hit the fire fast and hard.
“We got lucky with a quick call in to 911 on this one, but conditions are ideal for fires like this to not turn out so well,” Cranbrook Fire and Emergency Services stated on social media.
Some businesses close to the scene of the fire were evacuated but have been allowed to return.
More details when available.
