First Ed Fest a huge success

The Ed Fest Arts & Music Festival filled Cranbrook’s Rotary Park with a lush musical soundtrack for a beautiful late summer day Sept. 9.

The free festival, running in conjunction with the Cranbrook Farmers’ Market, is a one-day event featuring four musical performances, workshops and activities for all ages.

Leading off the afternoon at Ed’s Fest was Columbia Valley veterans L 8, with a great song selection that was very well received by the audience.

Fernie’s Blues Steel was the second band up at this year’s Ed’s Fest. A very talented group of musicians who kept the crowd entertained.

Third on the Ed Fest bill was Garret T. Willie, who put on a fantastic show. This blues band had the crowd loving every song. All great musicians who loved performing. Thanks to Ben and Matt for the great sound. Check out his new release “Same Pain” on Sept. 15.

Closing out the first Ed Fest was Five Alarm Funk. WOW, what a show. High energy and crowd pleasing, the crowd loved it.

Thanks to Matt and Ben from PB Pro-Audio for the fantastic sound and all the volunteers who helped make the day a huge success.
