Get ready For Canada Day 150

Celebrations planned For July 1 at Rotary Park

Canada Day 150 celebrations are set for July 1 in Cranbrook at Rotary Park and this is a party you are not going to want to miss!

Canada Day 150 will start with the Cranbrook Farmer’s Market throughout the park. There will be bouncy castles and coordinated leisure activities in the park hosted by Connect Church and City of Cranbrook Leisure Services.

Live music will be provided from a variety of travelling and local bands in the gazebo from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

At 3 p.m., we will honor select individuals in the community with the annual Citizenship awards, and dignitaries from across the province will celebrate Canada 150 with us.

At 3:15 p.m., we will also be welcoming over 400 cyclists and walkers, who will arrive at Rotary Park to recognize the grand opening of the new Cranbrook – Wardner Trail. The new Cranbrook Rotary washrooms will also be officially opened on Canada Day.

For the evening celebrations, a professional stage will be in place on City Hall’s parking lot to accommodate major talent including the likes of: JJ. Shiplett; Brian Bronz and his Band of Brothers and Clayton Parsons.

As the night settles in, we will be hosting a one-of a kind laser spectacular that has never been seen before in Cranbrook.

Massive RGB laser units placed throughout the park, by Nu Salt Lasers, experts who have presented their laser light shows at Euro Disney in France, and the Global Arts Festivals held annually in San Francisco and Miami.

With lasers hidden throughout the park and on stage, they will present a major laser light show that will project miles into the Cranbrook night sky. Choreographed to music, the lasers will light up the park, presenting symbolic images of Canada’s historic moments and Cranbrook. To finish it all off, fireworks will light up the night sky.
