Rockies Film Festival and Series’ next presentation at Key City Theatre is Ghostlight on Wednesday, September 25 at 7 p.m.

Construction worker Dan Mueller struggles with the disciplinary problems of his teenage daughter Daisy and the wrongful death lawsuit he is filing against Christine Hawthorne, the ex-girlfriend of his son Brian, who died by suicide.

The stress causes him to assault a rude motorist on the job, which is witnessed by Rita, an actor at a community theater across the street who invites him in to read for Lord Capulet in their upcoming production of Romeo and Juliet.

Demonstrating the healing power of the arts, the disarming “Ghostlight” is a deeply moving and affectionate examination of how community can get us through tough times.

You probably don’t know any of the actors in this movie…But you will never forget the shatteringly authentic, nakedly heartfelt performances in this deeply moving and stubbornly hopeful story of the healing power of art.
