ICE hand $25,000 to CMHA
The Kootenay ICE last night donated $25,000 to the Canadian Mental Health Association, Kootenays Branch.
Before Friday’s game against the Tri-City Americans, Kootenay ICE Governor Greg Fettes presented a cheque to Canadian Mental Health Association, Kootenays Branch Executive Director Carey Fraser. ICE defenceman Loeden Schaufler took part in the cheque presentation as well (pictured above).
“Mental health is an important topic to me personally, our staff and players,” said Fettes. “The CMHA is doing very important work in the community and we are excited to contribute.”
The ICE went on to skate to a 5-2 victory over the Americans.
The next home game for the ICE is against the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Sunday, February 18.
Puck drop is scheduled for 4 p.m. That’s a Family Fun Day game presented by Ktunaxa Nation Council, which includes face painters, a photo booth, family music and an Autograph Alley presented by Tim Hortons.
Tickets for Sunday’s game can be purchased online at ICEcountry.ca, at the ICE Gear Store at Western Financial Place or by calling 250-417-0322.
