Knights of Columbus help out at Street Angels
On Thursday, February 23, several members of the Cranbrook’s Knights of Columbus No. 1406 prepared and served a hot meal to several homeless residents at Street Angels.
We served three hot dishes and anticipated feeding about 30 residents. However, with the weather on this day being around -20 Celsius, we served probably half of the normal. The reason it seems was that most of the normal residents actually stay in from the cold at the other end of the city and walking in this brutal cold would be dangerous.
The attached photo is of the happy group of volunteer Knights in the Street Angel’s kitchen.
