On Saturday, September 28, a roaring group of Cranbrook Lions Club members were joined by Capt. Dorothy Burt and several cadets from the 1813 Lord Strathcona Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corp. as they picked up trash along a three kilometre stretch of Highway 3 just east of Cranbrook.

All of these volunteers were amazed at how much trash can be thrown from vehicles in a province whose licence plates call it “Beautiful” British Columbia.  Let’s try harder to keep B.C. beautiful.
