Local is Northwestern Polytechnic Athlete of the Month
Cranbrook raised and trained Sarah Soderstrom was named Northwestern Polytechnic (of Grande Prairie, Alberta) for the month of October.
Bachelor of Arts student-athlete Soderstrom is the Wolves Athlete of the Month for October and a driving force for the Women’s Volleyball Program.
In six games last month, the second-year middle has tallied 32 kills and 13 blocks, earning her two Player of the Game accolades.
Since the beginning of the season, Sarah has proved to be an asset to the team, dominating the middle of the net defensively and a powerful force on the attack. With dedication and discipline in practice, she leaves it all on the court in every game and is core to the team’s success.
The volleyball star is currently ranked fourth for total blocks in the ACAC.
