March Vendors’ Market supports Food Bank
The March Vendors’ Market held March 19 at the Heritage Inn was the second fundraiser for the Cranbrook Food Bank Society. The market raised $ 625.20.
Deanna Kempwerman asked which organization is this when she was preparing the receipt.
Bev answered, “no organization; we pick a charity every time we host a market and after expenses all vendor fees collected, donations collected at the door both cash and non-perishable food items go the charity.”
Other organizations that have benefited in the past are Operation Street Angels, Fisher Peak Performing Artists Society.
The event was a moderate success, with covid restrictions still in place some people could not attend. We are planning on hosting markets in April, May and June.
Thank you to all the vendors, all those who attended, and to Derek, Jolene and staff at The Heritage Inn.
Arne Sahlen for donating his talent and time keeping everyone entertained with his renditions of timeless classics. Murray Hayward, talented photographer for coming out, the pictures turned out great as usual.
