Modo Live & Shaggypup Productions, the exclusive Canadian producers of ‘Menopause The Musical’ are teaming up together, to bring the smash hit back to British Columbia for a nine city tour, beginning September 29 in Cranbrook.

This is their first B.C. tour since the Spring of 2022 when pandemic lock downs were finally lifted.

“Menopause The Musical is a worldwide phenomenon because it’s so brilliantly funny, but at its core, it’s really about female empowerment,” said Mark Zimmerman.

The show illustrates through comedy and 27 hit songs from the ‘60s, ‘70s & ‘80s, that underneath it all, women are so similar, especially around the ‘Change of Life’ and there’s a need to embrace it with one another as ‘a giant sisterhood.’

Since its debut in 2005, Menopause The Musical has evolved into a grassroots movement for women, dealing with life’s so called “adjustments” like the aging process, especially after “40.”

This laugh-filled 90-minute production, gets audiences out of their seats, cheering, dancing and singing along to chart topping hits, that feature new, tongue in cheek, brilliantly funny lyrics.

Menopause The Musical, now in its 19th year, is recognized as the longest-running musical, comedy to ever play Las Vegas continuously.

The original Off-Broadway musical comedy is set in a department store, where four women meet by chance while shopping for a black lace bra. After noticing unmistakable similarities with one another, the female, All-Star Canadian cast, jokes about their woeful hot flashes, mood swings, wrinkles, weight gain, memory loss, too much sex, not enough sex and more.

These four women form a sisterhood and a special bond with audiences as they rejoice in celebrating that Menopause is not ‘The Silent Passage’ anymore!

The show is at Key City Theatre on Sunday, September 29 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
