Nationally honoured musicians performing May 2

We are in for a special treat Thursday, May 2 when Juno nominated vocalist Yvette Tollar, Juno Award winning guitarist Michael Occhipinti from Toronto along with drummer Tony Ferraro perform at Cranbrook United Church.

The talented trio will be performing the music of John Lennon and Joni Mitchell.

“Tony is a member of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame; he was inducted with other members of Trooper last year,” said show organizer Louie Cupello, adding Trail resident Ferraro is also his cousin.

Also performing will be Jill McKenna, on bass, originally from Hamilton, Ontario, who now lives in Nelson and is a bass instructor at Selkirk College.

“My good friend John Siega of Rocky Mountain Media in Kimberley will be the sound tech for the evening. We are very fortunate that he is always willing to help out.

“It is not every day that we are graced by the presence of world class musicians.

“Thank you to George and Rachel Freitag, Elizabeth Lake Lodge for providing complimentary accommodation for two of the musicians.”

The event will be held on Thursday May 2, at the Cranbrook United Church. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Showtime 7 p.m.

For advance tickets scan the QR code on the poster or contact Louie Cupello at (250) 417-9690. There will also be tickets at the door on the night of the event.
