Over 1,100 ballots cast in final advance poll 

The City of Cranbrook this morning reported 1,115 ballots were cast in the second and final advance poll on Wednesday, October 12, in the 2022 Municipal Election. That compares with 882 ballots from second advance poll in 2018.

With the 696 ballots cast in the first advance poll on October 5, that brings the total of advance poll ballots in 2022 to 1,811, compared to a total of 1,365 advance poll ballots cast in the 2018 general election.

A reminder that special voting opportunities are available Thursday, October 13, for admitted patients and facility residents at the following locations:
– Dr. F.W. Green Memorial Home (10 – 11:45 a.m.)
– East Kootenay Regional Hospital (1 – 4:30 p.m.)
– Joseph Creek Village (9 a.m. – 2 p.m.)
– Joseph Creek Care Village (2 – 5:30 p.m.)
– Kootenay Street Village (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
– Kootenay Street Care Village (12:15 – 2:30 p.m.)
– Mountain View Village (5 – 5:45 p.m.)
– Scott Villa (9:15 – 9:45 a.m.)

General voting day is Saturday, October 15, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. MT at Laurie Middle School at 1808- 2nd Street South.
