PEAK Music Festival postponed
As a result of a provincial announcement August 20, which imposed public health measures in the entire Interior Health region to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Fisher Peak Performing Artists Society has postponed the remaining two live music dates in their Summer Sounds concert series and ‘PEAK’ Music Festival in Rotary Park.
An emergency discussion of the Board of Directors resulted in a plan to host a free concert at the Key City Theatre before the end of this year. More details on how to reserve a seat will be forthcoming.
Together with their collaborative partner, Key City Theatre, it was decided that postponing the fourth annual ‘PEAK’ Music Festival until 2022 was in the best interest of their volunteers, sponsors, performers, and attendees, allowing time for more people to become vaccinated and to ensure the festival remains a positive celebration of local performing arts and culture for the Kootenay region.
A huge thank you goes out to all of the volunteers and artists who have worked so hard to bring great music and joy to our community.
