Sam Steele Days Parade returns Saturday
The biggest parade in the Kootenays returns after a two-year pandemic hiatus to downtown Cranbrook Saturday, June 18 during Sam Steele Days.
The St. Eugene Grand Parade begins at 10:30 a.m. and will follow a familiar route as in the past.
The parade will start at 1212 2nd St. N and proceed down 11th Ave S. It will take a right onto Baker Street and follow that to 8th Ave. S and goes left. At the intersection of 8th Ave S and Louis Street it will take a left and move past Rotary Park and end at Louis St and 13th Ave S.
For the thousands of folks planning to attend the parade, you might want to bring cover for possible precipitation, with periods of rain forecast for Saturday, along with a high of about 20 C.
Applications have ended for parade entries.
