Video canvass in fire investigation reveals possible suspects

Cranbrook RCMP is continuing its investigation into the fire at Amy Woodland Elementary School.

Early Sunday morning, Cranbrook Fire and Emergency Services attended Amy Woodland Elementary School for a reported fire. The RCMP also attended and began an investigation into the fire.

Video canvass has revealed three individuals in the immediate vicinity of the school when the fire started.

“We are asking the public to take a look at the video and contact us if they are able to identify any of the individuals in the video,” said Cst. Katie Forgeron.

Anyone who might have information with regard to this incident is asked to contact the local office at 250-489-3471.

The public is also advised they can remain completely anonymous by calling a tip into Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or by leaving a web-based tip HERE.
