Water crews with City of Cranbrook Public Works will be making watermain repairs on 2nd Street North for most of the day Wednesday, July 28, which will impact water service to several properties.

Residents on 2nd Street North from Victoria Avenue through to College Way at Lionsview Park – including residents in the cul-de-sac on 21st Avenue North will be without water starting at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Residents are asked to fill water containers in your home for your use while the shutdown is happening.

Drivers are asked to please detour around the area if possible. Flaggers and signage will be in place, and there will be reduced traffic flow and perhaps some minor delays while the repair work is completed. Every effort will be made to restore water service and reopen the street fully as soon as possible.

Once water service is restored, water customers in that area may experience discoloured water. Please run your cold water until the water runs clear.
