Wayne Price elected Cranbrook’s next Mayor
The City of Cranbrook has a new mayor with former fire chief and councillor Wayne Price defeating incumbent Lee Pratt with 2,721 to 1,758 votes in today’s election.
New council member Lynnette Wray captured the most votes with 3,244 with four incumbents following, including Mike Peabody (3,181), Norma Blissett (3,147), Ron Popoff (2,959) and Wes Graham (2,603).
Former mayor Wayne Stetski returns to council with 2,114 votes.
Jeremy Youngward was the lone council candidate to miss out (2,066 votes).
