Ways the Lions support the community

Cranbrook Lions Club members keep busy each year finding ways to support community causes.

The following is a glimpse at some of the club’s activities held over a year between Christmas 2016 and this past January.

Blue Lake benches
Cranbrook Lions supported the Blue Lake Society by building 15 benches for the camp, stretching from 2013 to 2017 (pictured above). The Lions have a long-standing relationship with the camp and plan work parties at the camp cutting and stacking firewood-building bunkbeds and doing spring clean-up each year.

2017 Christmas Senior Tour of Lights
The Cranbrook Lions Club had another successful senior tour of lights last Christmas Dec. 17 (2017) as 165 seniors enjoyed a bus tour around Cranbrook viewing Christmas lights on homes and businesses. After the bus tour the seniors returned to the Eagles Hall for refreshments and Christmas music.  A visit from Santa and distribution of Christmas treats capped the evening off.
Cranbrook Lions would like to thank all participants and the support of the Eagles –City of Cranbrook Mayor Lee Pratt and council and the city bus drivers.

Turkey Drive

The Cranbrook Lions Club donated $2,000 towards the Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce 2017 Christmas Turkey Drive.

Cranbrook Lions 2018 Variety Show
The Cranbrook Lions 2018 Variety Show held Jan. 22 at Key City Theatre, with 165 children and parents enjoying the antics of a magic and variety show.

The Lions would like to thank all the sponsors and contributors who purchased tickets for the show.
