Workshops to help young entrepreneurs

On October 16 and 17 from 5 – 8 p.m. at Cranbrook’s Prestige Rocky Mountain Resort Cranbrook, non-profit organization Futurpreneur will host a free, funded workshop for current and aspiring business owners interested in buying or selling a small business. Dinner will be provided.

The focus of the program is buying and selling local and small businesses in Cranbrook.

Futurpreneur has helped 18,700 entrepreneurs across Canada since inception by providing them with the know-how and also the funding to get their ideas off the ground.

Futurpreneur’s Owners Wanted workshops in B.C. are supported in part by the Rural Economic Diversification and Infrastructure Program (REDIP) through the Ministry of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation (JEDI)

In Canada, small businesses make up 98% of the market.  #OwnersWanted in B.C. will help entrepreneurs learn how to sell their business or potentially how to buy one. Attendees will be provided with dinner and leave with an understanding of how to:

  • Find a viable business that may interest them
  • Approach and appeal to business owners
  • Put a deal together, practice negotiating and due diligence
  • Close the deal in a mock negotiation process and
  • Structure and obtain the necessary funding and
  • Learn about Futurpreneur  funding options
