55+ Games society hosting public awareness event

The Kimberley/Cranbrook 2018 55+ BC Games Host Society is inviting the public to its newly opened office.

The Games, being held September 11-15 at various venues in the Cranbrook and Kimberley, are fast approaching and this is an opportunity to learn more.

The Community Awareness Event and Office Grand Opening will be held on Wednesday, June 6 from 4-6 p.m. at 110A Slater Road NW.

This event is an excellent opportunity for members of the public to find out more about the Games and register to volunteer, if they are interested in being a part of this exciting event.

Those who have already registered to volunteer are also encouraged to attend the event and meet the directors they will be working with as well as other volunteers.

City of Kimberley Mayor Don McCormick, and Games co-presidents Jaret Thompson and Sandy Zeznik will be speaking and Operations Manager Dawn Portman will be on hand to answer questions about the functioning of the Games office.
