Annual Co-Community Cleanups on near horizon
As Earth Day approaches, the City of Kimberley, the City of Cranbrook, Mountain Phoenix Community Culture and Wildsight Kimberley Cranbrook are thrilled to invite you to participate in our annual Co-Community Cleanup event.
This initiative is designed to bring together residents, businesses, schools, and organizations in a collective effort to revitalize our neighborhoods and green spaces.
This inclusive event offers a multitude of benefits. It’s a perfect opportunity for individuals, families, and groups to enjoy the outdoors, bond with loved ones, and contribute to our joint mission of clearing our surroundings of winter’s accumulated litter. Community Cleanups are not just about cleaning.
They also promote team building, physical activity, responsibility, cooperation, a deeper connection with nature, and a sense of pride in our shared achievement of enhancing our environment.
There are three ways to get involved:
KIMBERLEY: From April 15 to 19, Pitch In with your business, friends, family, community group, or school to clean up an area of the city. Contact Pam Walsh at the City of Kimberley to obtain bags and designate your route. Reach out via email at [email protected] or call 250-427-9653.
CRANBROOK: Join the Springtime Spruce Up Cranbrook Campaign from April 15 to 19. Schools, residents, businesses, and community groups are invited to participate. Email [email protected] or call 250-489-0220 to receive bags and a designated route.
MAIN EVENTS: On Saturday, April 20, at 10 a.m., converge at the city of your choice to receive routes and garbage bags for the final cleanup push!
In Kimberley, meet at Centennial Hall, and in Cranbrook, meet at Western Financial Place. We will have some gloves and vests on hand, but if you have them, please bring them, as well as water and snacks! Fantastic prizes will also be given out!
Additional thanks to the Kimberley Chamber of Commerce, Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce, Secure Energy, GFL, Bavarian Home Hardware, Grubstake Pizza, Purcell Golf, Leslie Long Rescue, Morgan Turner Photography, and Western Financial Place Events, for their meaningful additions to this event.
Let’s join forces for cleaner, healthier communities!
