Banff Film and Book Festival tour coming

Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival is one of the largest and most prestigious mountain festivals in the world!

Hot on the heels of the Festival that is held every fall in beautiful Banff, Alberta, the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour hits the road. With stops planned in about 550 communities and more than 40 countries across the globe, the Banff World Tour celebrates amazing achievements in outdoor storytelling and filmmaking worldwide.

From the over 400 entries submitted into the Festival each year, award-winners and audience favourites are among the films that are carefully selected to play in theatres around the world. Traveling to remote vistas, analyzing topical environmental issues, and bringing audiences up-close and personal with adrenaline-packed action sports the 2021/2022 World Tour is an exhilarating and provocative exploration of the mountain world.

Wildsight Kimberley Cranbrook is proud to be offering live and online versions of the World Tour which promises to bring the spirit of outdoor adventure to our region.

Live at Key City Theatre on January 7 and 8, 2022 at 7 p.m., theatregoers can enjoy a unique lineup of films each night!

The Larch Program (January 7) features films such as Bear-Like (pictured above) and Dream Mountain. The Maple Program (January 8) includes films like Breaking Trail and Precious Leader Woman.

At present, proof of full vaccination must be shown upon entry per provincial health guidelines. This may change pending any changes to the guidelines.

The Online version of the event offers two different virtual programs, Spruce and Pine, from the comfort of your home! Buy single program tickets or buy a bundle to enjoy both and save.

A percentage of all ticket sales, live or online, directly support Wildsight Kimberley Cranbrook’s education, conservation, and regeneration initiatives throughout the year.
