BC NDP news release is dishonourable
Letter to the Editor
Extremism? Nope, Scott McInnis is not extreme and Andrea Dunlop knows that. Ā Nonetheless, the partisan pathetics at NDP HQ forced out this sad, last ditch effort to smear Scott.
Scottās been a teacher at the same time as Ms Dunlop. She knows his relationship with students, other teachers, the administration, and the community, is one of respectful interaction. I feel sorry for Ms Dunlop that she was told she had to issue this silly statement. But it is consistent with her refusal to stand face-to-face and debate Scott in Kimberley.
If the people of Columbia River-Revelstoke put their trust in Scott, as I have, I know Scott will go to Victoria representing the views of his constituents. Becoming an MLA is an honourable calling for Scott, not a job, What the NDP is trying to do with this news release is not honourable but unfortunately also not surprising.
Scott will continue to listen to you, will sort through the issues as fairly as he can, and will work his tail off for the people of Columbia River Revelstoke. Scott McInnis will be an excellent MLA for all of us!
Bill Bennett,
Cranbrook (now a Columbia River-Revelstoke voter)
