Cranbrook Chamber hosting Elevating the Kootenays in October
The Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce introduces Elevating the Kootenays, an Economic Impact Summit.
From 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. On October 2 we will gather at St. Eugene Resort & Casino to showcase the Kootenays’ economic impact for our communities, region and beyond.
We’re connecting industry to ministry. Federal, provincial, municipal and Indigenous leadership from the Kootenays have been invited to join us as we celebrate our achievements, demonstrate the economic contributions from our region, discuss our challenges, and highlight future opportunities for the Kootenays.
A series of Kootenay-based guest speakers will share the economic impact of their work within the forestry, mining, agriculture and technology sectors.
A panel of representatives have been invited to provide insight, including:
- Ministry of Forests;
- Ministry of Agriculture and Food;
- Ministry of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation (JEDI).
We’re also inviting Indigenous Leadership to the panel to share their thoughts.
This event will also focus on how industry intersects with key issues such as climate change, truth and reconciliation, labour and investment attraction for our region.
