The East Kootenay Volleyball Club U13 Girls Blue team capped an outstanding weekend (April 26-28) at the Alberta Provincial Volleyball Championships (APVC) in Calgary and Okotoks taking home the Division 1 bronze medal.

The team finished with a record of seven wins and only one loss which came in the playoff semi-final. The team rebounded brilliantly in the bronze medal game soundly defeating the Rhinos Black team (Bonneyville) in straight sets 25-21 and 25-20.

The team, comprised of players from Cranbrook and Kimberley, competed against 85 teams from across Alberta. The outcome is not a surprise for this group of girls as they also earned another bronze medal at a Volleyball Alberta Premiere tournament earlier in April.
