Fort Steele ready for 2024 summer season
It’s “Back to 1898!”
Fort Steele Heritage Town will open for the summer season to public visitors starting on June 15 until September 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, seven days a week.
Fort Steele Heritage Town was closed to the public during the month of April. The site continued necessary repairs to the Visitor Reception Centre (which succumbed to fire in June 2023 – pictured right) and to many of the heritage buildings.
Educational Heritage Interpretive School Programs returned in May and June.
Fort Steele also hosted over 30 school groups for the always popular heritage education interpretive programs delivered by creative and enthusiastic interpretive staff.
