Friday Highways Report for the East Kootenay is a snapshot to give the travelling public a glimpse of what they may be heading into or out of this weekend. Quickly, conditions are extremely wintery throughout the region today (Jan. 27).

Highway 43

Sparwood to Elkford

Highway 3

Sparwood to B.C. and Alberta Border

Highway 93

Radium Hot Springs to Alberta Border

Compact snow and slushy with slippery sections.  Utility work between Stanley Street and Radium Hill Road for 3.1 km (Radium Hot Springs) until Feb. 6. From 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. All lanes blocked. (Pictured above: Highway 93 and 95 junction roundabout at Radium.)

 

Montana border to Highway 3 

Winter driving conditions. Compact snow. Slushy with slippery sections. Snowing.

 

Highway 95

Radium Hot Springs to Golden
