Friday Highways Report for the East Kootenay

Friday Highways Report for the East Kootenay is a snapshot to give the travelling public a glimpse of what they may be heading into or out of this weekend. This is the first report of the 2024/2025 season. No surprise to anyone in the region, today is overcast and gray with the Elk Valley expecting a 60% chance of flurries and Columbia Valley, Cranbrook and Kimberley areas with a 40% chance of flurries.

There is a snowfall warning for Kootenay Pass, with 15 to 20 cm of snow anticipated between this evening and Saturday evening (Dec. 14).
