Friday Highways Update for the East Kootenay

For those heading out or coming into the East Kootenay this weekend, here is a look at what you might expect on regional highways.

DriveBC reports black ice on Highway 93 between Radium Hot Springs and the Alberta border). Compact ice. Watch for slippery sections.

Winter driving conditions between from six km west of Curzon Junction to the Alberta border.

Highway 93

Winter driving conditions between the Montana border and Highway 3 for 36.7 km.

Highway 93/95

Winter driving conditions between Highway 3 (seven km south of Fort Steele) to Radium Hot Springs.

Highway 95A

Winter driving conditions between Cranbrook to 27 km north of Kimberley.

Radium Hot Springs earlier this afternoon.

Highway 95

Winter driving conditions between the Idaho Border to Curzon Junction/Highway 3.

Watch for slippery sections on Highway 95 between Radium Hot Springs and Golden.

Highway 43

Winter driving conditions between Sparwood and Elkford.

Kootenay Pass

Compact snow on Highway 3 from 14 km east of Salmo to Creston. Slushy with slippery sections.
