FWCP Columbia Region seeks new board member
If you have experience in conserving and enhancing local fish and wildlife, then you may be interested in an opportunity with the Fish & Wildlife Compensation Program (FWCP).
Itβs seeking a public representative to join its 10-member Columbia Region Board, for a three-year term.
Board members review and approve funding for all FWCP fish and wildlife projects in the region, and support planning and project delivery. This year, the board has approved $5.75 million for fish and wildlife projects.
βWe have an experienced and knowledgeable board that works closely with our fish and wildlife technical committees to ensure projects we fund are in alignment with our Action Plans, and reflect regional board priorities,β said board co-chair Trevor Oussoren. βWeβre particularly looking for applicants who can bring a regional perspective to the table.β
If you are interested in applying or nominating someone else, contact 250-365-4591 or email fwcp@bchydro.com for an application package. All applications must be submitted by Friday, April 26, 2019 at 4:30 p.m. PDT.
The FWCP is a partnership of First Nations, public stakeholders, BC Hydro, the Province of B.C., and Fisheries and Oceans Canada to conserve and enhance fish and wildlife in watersheds impacted by BC Hydro dams. Learn more at fwcp.ca.
