Good news and details for Coldest Night of the Year

The Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) is a family friendly walk/fundraiser hosted by Canadian Mental Health Association for the Kootenays to help those who are hungry, homeless and hurting.

With one day remaining, we have ACHIEVED our goal of $20,000. This is absolutely amazing!

CNOY 2021 is successful because of our walkers! Our walkers are from Cranbrook, Kimberley, Canal Flats, Wardner, Jaffray, Fernie, Sparwood and Saskatchewan who believe in helping and supporting those in our community. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude for everyone who is walking and fundraising, to the businesses and individuals who donated and to our wonderful sponsors.

For registered walkers: come to 100-1000 21st Ave N in Cranbrook to pick up your toque anytime between 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Feb. 19 and on Saturday, Feb. 20 from 10 a.m. -12 p.m.  If these times do not work for you, call us 250-426-5222.

All walkers who raise $500 or more will have their name entered into a draw for a chance to win a one night stay in the rail suite at the Prestige Inn Cranbrook, a value of $450.  We will announce the winner on Monday, Feb 22.

As this event is virtual, we would like walkers and teams to take photos modelling their toques in the community and so we can share in the fun you had. Email photos to [email protected].  If you do not want your photos shared on social media, just let us know in the body of the email.

Join us on Saturday, Feb 20 at 11 a.m. live on the CMHA Kootenays Facebook page for a brief opening ceremony and to draw three lucky walker names who will win one of three gift bags donated by Starbucks.

There is still time to register to walk/fundraise or donate.  Go to https://cnoy.org/location/cranbrook.

Help us help others!
