I reach out after having ridden the Kootenay Rockies Gran Fondo.

First, thanks for such a great day. A truly memorable day. A ride through beautiful countryside. It was well organized, casual and fun. I enjoyed the camaraderie of my fellow riders. The vehicle traffic was accommodating; the directional and safety signage excellent. The aid stations, food and drink we great – and again the staff at these stations so nice! All-in-all a wonderful package

A special mention to all volunteers and staff. They need to be congratulated on how well organized they are. and how friendly and calm everyone was. They always had time for a word, provide information and give a wave or shout encouragement.

I have ridden many races, organized rides and Fondos over the years and this was without a doubt the best. Best terrain, best food stations, best and easiest start location. And head and shoulders above anything out there the food buffet at the end.

It was so heartwarming to hear the proceeds went to support cycling and cyclists in the local community – a great cause!

My only suggestion is to share this fantastic ride with more cyclists. I think you can accommodate 1,000 to 2,000 riders and maintain the same feeling on the road.

And the best day of the year on the road, looking forward to next year. Thank you and all of your team for a great riding experience.
