KCF partnering with Kimberley Fall Fair
The Kootenay Country Fair (KCF) came into existence with the creation of the Kootenay Country Fair Society. For many years, the fair society leased the Wycliffe Exhibition Grounds for the event.
Eventually, the KCF Society transitioned to hosting the fair at Fort Steele Heritage Town! In the last few years, the KCF society dissolved and along with it the superstars who made the KCF an amazing community event.
The volunteers of the KCF Society were miracle workers with a small contingent ensuring its continuation. The core members were supported by over 100 volunteers on the event’s weekend.
This year, Fort Steele will not be hosting the Kootenay Country Fair. Instead, we will be partnering with the Kimberley Community Fall Fair!
Be sure to visit on September 21 and 22 for some of the best fall fun times the Kootenays have to offer!
If there are folks in the community who would like to see the KCF back at Fort Steele again, we would love to partner together with you to create a new KCF Society to have it grace our grounds once more!
