Latest snowfall warning covers much of region
Environment Canada has issued yet another snowfall warning for the Cranbrook, Kimberley and Elk Valley areas, as well as Highway 3 – Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass.
The constant snow that’s been falling is expected to end early this afternoon (Nov. 23), Environment Canada reported, though another two to four centimetres is expected.
“The snow should taper off early this afternoon. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.”
As for Kootenay Pass, total snowfall accumulations of 15 to 20 cm can be expected by mid-morning when the snow is expected to taper to few flurries.
The snowfall warning does not cover the Columbia Valley though two to four more cm of snow is expected there as well as in the Kootenay National Park.
