Kootenay East MLA Tom Shypitka today called on the provincial government for enhanced Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) response mechanisms during an address in the B.C. Legislature.

Highlighting the severe threat posed by CWD to British Columbia’s wildlife, MLA Shypitka urged the NDP government to strengthen its response efforts.

He emphasized the need for the NDP to develop robust mechanisms to protect British Columbia from this rapidly spreading disease and address its potential to harm environmental and animal health across British Columbia.
