MVI at Wardner Bridge has closed Highway 3
A motor vehicle incident on Highway 3 at Wardner Bridge has the highway closed in both directions.
A detour is in place along Wardner Fort Steele Road.
“Please be respectful of speed limits on the detour route, maintain a safe following distance, be respectful of all traffic control personnel and obey all signage along the detour route,” asks Mainroad East Kootenay Contracting.
Drivers should also be aware of the crush of traffic that appears at the junction of Wardner – Fort Steele Road and Highway 93/95 during such detours and drive accordingly.
