New face in area Recovery Advisor Role
Kootenay Employment Services is pleased to introduce Riley Wilcox (pictured) as the new Recovery Advisor for Cranbrook-Kimberley and surrounding areas under the ETSI-BC Rural Business and Community Recovery Program.
Wilcox has two decades of experience in non-profit business management focusing on the areas of fund development and social sector services.
āI am thrilled to be connecting with business owners,ā she said. āMy goal is to help them navigate new and existing resources and find the right fit for their businessā needs. It is important for me to gain their perspective. Together we can facilitate recovery strategies through funding initiatives and business skills development.ā
She enjoys all things outdoors, including her leadership work with the Canadian Ski Patrol. Living in the East Kootenay is the perfect home base for her wilderness adventures. She enjoys facilitating project teams, planning events and engaging in community development initiatives.
Wilcox joins Recovery Advisors Amy Hotchkiss from the Creston Valley-Kootenay Lake region, Theresa Wood from the Columbia Valley, Melanie Rowland from Golden and East and West Kootenay Aboriginal Support Jeffrey Sutherland in helping bring much-needed economic recovery support to our area.
The Rural Business and Community Recovery Program is funded by Economic Trust of the Southern Interior (ETSI-BC), and the Province of British Columbia as it delivers on its StrongerBC Plan.
It is delivered locally through a partnership between Kootenay Employment Services, Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce, Kimberley Chamber of Commerce, Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce and Golden Community Coop.
