Paving schedule updated by Mainroad
Mainroad East Kootenay Contracting Ltd. has provided an update on its summer paving program.
Saturday, August 17: Wycliffe Park Road. Please note that the Cranbrook Pro Rodeo starts at 6:30 p.m. Mainroad stated its crews should not be in the way of traffic coming and going.
Monday, August 19: Highway 3 both directions between Moyie and Yahk, in various locations; as well as on Wycliffe Park Road and Mission Road to St. Eugene Golf Resort and Casino.
Tuesday, August 20: Highway 3 – westbound, west of Elko townsite (down Elko hill) and Highway 93 – northbound, coming up to Hwy 3/93 Junction (pictured). Also, Highway 3 – Galloway passing lane and Mission Road to St Eugene.
Wednesday, August 21: Mission Road to St Eugene.
Mainroad asks please watch for work zones and obey orange construction signage.
Work will be conducted by Mainroad crews, as well as subcontracted paving crews which Mainroad Operations will oversee. No excessive noise or bright lights overnight will occur.
Finally, please remember your responsibility as a driver to obey traffic control persons, and to ‘Slow Down and Move Over’ for all roadside workers.
