Pet Rescue Society looking for volunteers
Letter to the Editor
Meant 2B Pet Rescue Society is looking for volunteers. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we rely on community members to help us continue rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals in need. Without more hands-on deck, we face serious challenges in keeping our operations running smoothly.
Right now, our most urgent needs are a Volunteer Coordinator and Bottle Team Coordinators and volunteers in both Cranbrook and Kimberley. The bottle drive program is a significant source of income for our rescue, and without enough volunteers, we risk losing vital funding that helps us care for and find homes for animals.
In addition, with spring just around the corner, our Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) program will ramp up significantly. This lifesaving program helps control the feral cat population, but it also requires additional resources and volunteers. To keep up with the increasing demand, we also need individuals who can organize and oversee fundraising events.
To help strengthen our rescue for the future, we are pleased to announce that we will be welcoming applications for memberships as of March 1. Becoming a member allows individuals to play an active role in shaping the future of Meant 2B Loved Pet Rescue Society.
However, to be accepted for membership, applicants must have volunteered at least 10 hours per month for three months or have fostered an animal for us within the past year.
New volunteers will not be left to figure things out on their own—our dedicated team of current volunteers and board members are more than happy to provide training and support.
If you have a passion for animal welfare and want to make a tangible difference in your community, now is the time to step forward.
To learn more about how you can help, please reach out to us at hello@meant2blovedpetrescue.com or fill out an application to volunteer under ‘Help’ at meant2blovedpetrescue.com.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Meant 2B Loved Pet Rescue Society Board,
