RCR outlines protocol changes
On behalf of Resorts of the Canadian Rockies (RCR) and all of our team members at our ski resorts of Fernie Alpine Resort, Kimberley Alpine Resort and Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, we would like to thank all of our guests for following safety protocols that have been in place. We are making updates in accordance with public health orders, internal safety guidelines, and industry best practices.
We are making the following changes/updates today, but please visit the ski resort website for the most up to date information and full details.
Protocol Changes Effective March 11 (Today):
- Masks/Face Coverings: Effective Friday, March 11, we will no longer make wearing masks while in our indoor public spaces at our B.C. resorts mandatory. In addition, we will no longer require that masks be required to be worn while in lift lines or while riding lifts. We do still recommend our guests wear masks in these situations, but it will not be mandatory.
- Proof of Vaccination (QR Codes) will continue to be required to enter any of our indoor facilities at our B.C. resorts through until April 8, at which point in time, if the proposed B.C. government COVID regulation relaxation orders occur, we will follow government restriction adjustments regarding this protocol and will end the passport (QR Code) requirements for entrance to indoor facilities at our B.C. resorts.
- Proof of Vaccination (QR Codes) will continue to be required in order to ski and ride at RCR’s B.C. resorts.
Please continue to observe the BC Vaccine Card and be courteous and kind to all those in the resort who may wish to continue to wear a mask indoors and outdoors. Please note that we may make changes and or updates as the situation and or government updates warrant, and please check the website for the most up to date information.
