RDEK conducting burns the next two weeks

The Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) today reports it is doing some debris clean up and burning at a few of its parks/recreation facilities tomorrow through November 24.

“Burning will be fully monitored by our contractor and will be taking place at Wycliffe Exhibition Grounds, Cherry Creek Falls Park, St. Mary’s Lake Park, and Tie Lake Regional Park,” the RDEK noted on social media.

“We wanted you to be aware so you know what’s happening in the event you see smoke in these areas over the next week or two.”
