Cranbrook Search and Rescue (SAR) was tasked yesterday afternoon (March 3) alongside Kimberley Search and Rescue to rescue an injured snowmobiler at Lumberton.

The snowmobiler was caught in an avalanche and was transported to the hospital by helicopter for further treatment.

Let this be a reminder that there are still dangerous avalanche conditions throughout B.C. and please check www.avalanche.ca before heading out on the snowpack.
